Christmas in Italy is a deeply cherished time, filled with family gatherings, religious celebrations, and a wealth of delicious food that varies by region. The most, traditional Christmas pastries are the Panettone, the Pandoro and the Torroni.
The Panettone is an iconic Italian Christmas cake, often studded with candied fruits and raisins, is soft and airy, typically served with sweet mascarpone cream or enjoyed with a glass of sparkling wine. The Pandoro is a simpler version of Panettone, this is a soft, golden bread dusted with powered sugar. It is especially popular in Verona. The Torroni, is typically nougat made with almonds or hazelnuts, found in the regions of Tuscany.
We had the pleasure to welcome the amazing @melizcooks at our patisserie and generously sharing her incredible skills and passion with us. Her contribution to our patisserie, especially in bringing to life @alessandro_di_leo_ family’s traditional panettone recipe, was nothing short of amazing.
It was an honour and such a fun and memorable day, made even more special by her lovely company and creativity.
